On Sunday my wife and I decided to take a tour to Sirmione, a very famous place in the world of Lake Garda, a truly characteristic place due to the fact that it is located at the tip of a peninsula that goes towards the interior of Lake Garda.
We left the car about 3 km from the town center and we preferred to take the bus because the parking lots are really expensive so it was better to spend € 2 for the shuttle ticket
In practically 10 minutes we were already in the center and even though it was only 10 in the morning, there were already a lot of people also because, and I say this for tourists who want to come and visit Italy, the state museums on the first Sunday of the month they are completely free.
So we took the opportunity to visit the Scaligero Castle which to tell the truth we had already visited about 10 years ago but we were a bit disappointed that many parts of the Castle including the Darsena which has just been restored was not accessible to people and this for no reason.
I shared some photos I took inside the Castle but I will definitely bring here a more in-depth article of the place because it is right to tell the story of this beautiful Castle.
in about an hour we concluded the visit to the castle so we took a lakeside path to take some photos and to see the view.
I was lucky to find a pier to go down that went into the lake so that I could take more panoramic photos of the landscape.
I also took a walk inside the town and saw that there are some very interesting shops, of course, with prices that are not accessible to me but very nice I must say.
Then I saw that the town of Sirmione created a point to give lovers the opportunity to take a picture and there was practically a queue to take it.
Of course being the most beautiful area of Lake Garda Here there are many villas of entrepreneurs and famous people among which we saw the villa where the opera singer Maria Callas stayed, a person who made the history of opera music.
In the afternoon we visited the other most important attraction there is in Sirmione which are the caves of Catullus which in the end are not real caves, but in reality it is a Roman villa indeed the remains of this villa, which were discovered at the beginning of the Renaissance but let's say that in Italy they are the most important finds relating to a Roman artifact, which among other things enjoyed a beautiful view of Lake Garda.
Here too I will make a special article, because there is so much to see.
Thank you for reading this article follow me because soon as I mentioned I will certainly bring other interesting articles related to Sirmione but not only, it is thanks to those who care for this community for the fact that it gives us the opportunity to write here.
