My walking tour took place in Bosco Chiesanuova in the municipality which is located in the province of Verona precisely in the Lessinia National Park.
I discovered a Contrada near this town, to better explain the districts are agglomerations of houses that is a series of houses where people lived together and managed the economy of these places.
How nice to still see these houses made entirely of stone, it is a pity that many of these houses are uninhabited because so many people have left the mountain to move to the plains to work.
Once here, people lived mainly on sheep or cow breeding, but with the fact that breeding is now not very profitable, many people have preferred to go to live in the plains to go to work in the factories.
Now someone uses them as homes for summer or winter holidays but in a Contrada like this at most two or three people live.
Although I must tell the truth that after the pandemic many people have returned to buy these types of homes precisely to be a little more isolated from people.
What you see in the photo is a fountain and wash house, and its presence was never lacking in these districts, precisely because the local women came to wash our clothes and in addition, water was essential precisely because it was used both for drinking and for giving drinks. to the animals, there were no washing machines at the time.
This summer I will definitely go on vacation to these places and I will bring you lots of photos of these particular places and I also hope to bring you something on a cultural and traditional level.
Meanwhile, below I leave you the video of another excursion that I did not so far from there to a very important refuge in the area
