Hi everyone here we are back for another #marketfriday initiated by the lovely @dswigle and it's Friday again and today i decided to go and visit this new shopping mall in Bangkok called the Emquarter Shopping Mall a high end shopping mall with many well known brands and a lot more.
The super luxury EmQuartier shopping mall is not only a shopping mall it is unique for its futuristic architecture, its wide selection of high end luxury retail items and designer brands.
I am not going to bore you by showing you all the designer brand shops like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Jimmy Choo, Valentino and Fendi and the fifty world class restaurants we have all seen them.
This mall was also built for enjoyment and entertainment it has a man made waterfall within the building spiraling down for about 100 meters long nicknamed the "Rainforest Chandelier" hanging from the ceiling.
The "Rainforest Chandelier" drops down onto the fifth floor to interconnecting pools of flowing water forming little rivers and little waterfalls surrounded by beautiful nature of flowers and trees and leading into the courtyard of the fifth floor.
Around the courtyard on the fifth floor you can enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this rain forest by sitting around the little flowing rivers enjoying a cup of coffee with a chocolate muffet reading a book , playing with you phone or singing along what ever you may desire you can do and there are little cafe service booths to serve you.
Or you can just simply enjoy the views of the city while sipping on your cup of coffee and admire the beautiful garden setting around you.
The mall looked very colorfully decorated with artificial cherry blossom trees every where it was part of the advertising campaign to promote selling flight tickets and accommodation packages for the 2020 Olympic games in Japan next year.
They also had a kids concert going on and some sort of clown entertaining the kids.
When we say this is the super luxury mall it is split up between two building one building with all the high end brands and the other building with it's fifty world class restaurants so from the fifth floor if you walk across the thick glass plate walkway you come to these really cool rooftop bar and restaurant.
The Escape Bar Restaurant i thought was really cool it takes up almost all of the fifth floor of the adjacent building overlooking some very stunning city views and the tropical look made you feel you were on a island.
Apart from the DJ to entertain you even Ted was there to entertain you.
It's designed like Samui Island tropical sofas relaxing and chilled out feeling with the best cocktails in town to go with that.
Some foods on the menu are Bar grub like Australian beef sliders three miniature beef burgers or salmon tartare served on a lettuce leaf. For heavier stuff, get the spaghetti aglio e olio with Isaan sausages.
The music starting at 5pm beach bongo and reggae and more electronic sounds coming later in the night. Starting at 8pm nightly live music could be saxophone or trumpet backing up the DJ's beats.
The Escape Bar is open from 5pm till 12am i was there about 4pm and they were setting up for the night ahead.
And there are more rooftop bars on the ninth floor also if you want more elegant cuisines and soft romatic music but i will stay with the Escape Bar it's more me and now to leave you with some lovely flowers from around the grouds of the shopping mall.
