A beautiful sunny day blue skies in Bangkok today and a great day to be walking in a park with all the spring flowers blooming i would image it would be the perfect time to be visiting Benjakitti Park.
When ever i am in a different country i always try to make the effort to visit as many beautiful and famous parks as possible and that goes with national park foresters also i just love nature.
Benjakitti Park is located in the heart of Bangkok city amongst Sukhumvit's high rise hotels and office blocks, which makes it very convenient for people to visit this park in the early morning either for a walk or a jog before or after work.
At this time of the year from early March to late April the Bougainville flower comes to life and blooms all around the lake side of the park in many different colors making the park look like a gorgeous paradise.
The thing that stands out in the park is the beautiful man made lake and around the perimeter of the 21 hectacres park are two separate lanes one for the joggers and the other for the cyclist.
It also has a exercise area were you can use the equipment for free to do you push , bike machine , rowing machine and many more all set up on a nice soft cork material.
A playground for the little ones to entertain themselves.
There is even a area where you can bring you picnic basket laid back do a bit of people watching or just enjoy looking up at the trees against the blue sky and wait for that sunset over the lake.
And the city views from this spot are just stunning with the little over head bridge above you certainly romantic.
There is always a shrine no matter what park you are in Bangkok a nice atmosphere to say your prays or maybe a bit of meditation.
A few lovely ornaments and statues around the park that have been donated by China and Singapore as good luck gifts for Thailand.
I found some really amazing different types of trees in this park trees is one part of nature i love admiring , their texture and formation.
I arrived at this park just after mid-day and i was i no hurry to get home the day was just to beautiful to be indoors it was coming to sunset and this i was not going to miss.
Waiting for the sunset over the other side of the lake i found these pretty orange flowers so i decided to play around with the blur app photo shooter on my mobile phone ...what do you think ??
If you really wanted to be in the center of the sunset and be romantic you could hire these cute swan peddle boats or just a row boat for $2 US per/hour and been right out there as a lovers couple.
That time of the day had arrived and the sunset over the lake was now really gleaming over the water just a beautiful relaxing part of the day and just so superb to see.
As you can see the all the joggers come after work it makes sense a bit cooler and a great atmosphere the park is open till 9 pm.
What magical sunsets my Sunday walk was completed and it was time to go get some dinner and a couple cold beers i immensely enjoyed my afternoon in Benjakitti park don't forget to visit this amazing park if your ever in Bangkok city.
