On Sunday we were invited to join the Australia Bush Fire Fundraiser sausage sizzler and charity auction at Aesop's Bangkok a Greek restaurant that is run by a friend of my called John , John himself is from Australia so he was quite pleased to do this for his people and the wild life back home , he has been open now nearly 2 years in Bangkok city and has become quite well know for his hospitality and party functions he holds at his restaurant.

As most of the world now would be aware of this disastrous devastation that is taking place in my home country of Australia since early October the bush fires started in the Gold Coast of Brisbane and have now spread around most of Australia and are still raging out of control around the country still causing suffering and destruction to the people and wildlife.

I got to the venue a little early to see if John might have needed a hand with anything but he had everything under control he was just a bit concerned about the number of people turning up and not enough food but it all when well and it gave me the opportunity to take some photos before it got to packed out.

We did go back for seconds and mostly everyone else did also not only because the sausages and the huge BBQ prawns were so tasty but because it was also generating more funds to donate.

There was a couple of luxury rooms offered by Siam and Sofitel hotels to be auction and a few holiday packages very generous of them and all donation to go to the bush fire people and wildlife. The Australia Wildlife Foundation are saying that more then 500 million animals as in mammals, birds and reptiles this includes Koala bears and Kangaroos are feared to have died in the bush fires.
