The new Look of Sikkatuli Park

Hello Lovely Peoples,

One of the major problems of the people of Dhaka city is that the green and open parts of the city are decreasing day by day. As the population of the city increases, the level of pollution on the one hand is increasing, on the other hand the size of green parks is getting smaller or occupied for various reasons. In fact, it is very sad for us.

Because not just a city, it is important to have at least 15% green forest in order to maintain the normal environment of a country. And in the modern advanced society we are forgetting this difficult fact.

We are trying to destroy the environment without being aware. Because our thoughts are the only ones we want to develop, and nature is getting lost in the pressure of development. With the decline of green nature and the loss of ecological balance, it is becoming dangerous for the next generation.

However, the hope is that some people are exempt from the occupation of the traditional small parks of old Dhaka due to exceptional thinking and good initiative, and we are hoping to re-greenize it. I want this plan to be implemented properly. Because greening has no alternative. These small parks can be the lifeblood of Dhaka City. People in the city will have a chance to breathe world-wide for a while.

One such park is Sikkatuli Park. After the modernization, the new name has been given to Sikkatuli Khalek Sardar Children Park. The inner part has been made green by enclosing it. This attracts everyone’s attention and the local peoples getting a chance to rest in the green for some time.

Happily, 19 smaller parks, such as Sikkatuli Park, are under this great project. Through the initiative of doing something good for the people of the city and the initiative to revamp the parks as a whole, everyone really liked the exception. By implementing these, the old Dhaka will once again return to its former green state. People in the city will have the opportunity to spend time in beautiful places.

Most notably, the mayor of Dhaka South City declared the park a smoke-free park and also banned it for drug users. Undoubtedly this is a wonderful initiative. Because if the park is safe, everyone will be able to spend time safely. Apart from this, there is a small entertainment facility for the children in the park.

The park is open daily from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. It is also the responsibility of the City Corporation to look after it. Let Dhaka city be more beautiful and green, the parks safer for everyone, this is my wish.
