Hello Wednesday walkers.

Today I will show you the walk I made in national park the Hautes-Fagnes (high fens) in Belgium.
That is the highest point in Belgium and is 694 meters above sea level.

The walk started at the parking were there is a monument for the highest point. I had no idea that it was a monument for that. I thought it was a stupid staircase 😅 So I don't have a picture of that.

I do have a picture of the church behind it, so this is probably the highest building in Belgium.

There is a wooden trail all around this area here. Very nice to walk it.

The trail runs over the open land and trough forest like this.

Here is a little river running underneath the green. I sat down here a while, listening to the rippling water.

When the wooden path ends, and is turning in a gravel trail, the landscape slowly turns in to a dense wood area.

I love this golden sunlight shining trough the trees.

I made a panorama of the all those straight trees in a row.

The golden light of the setting sun. I needed to be quick if I wanted to have a nice sunset on the open part of the trail.

And I was just in time to make a selfie during this nice sunset.
