Today, I really just want a breath of fresh air. It's been a while I have seen the ocean and with too many thoughts running through my mind I decided to check out a place my friend @wanderela spoke about.
From Tacloban City I took a jeepney to Dulag and asked the driver to drop me by the Sabang Daguitan Surf camp. Paid the entrance fee of 20php and drank basil shake for 50php.After which I went around to check the amenities
Please watch the video as I posted there the rates. I have been to Baler another surf camp but if I may say this place is a lot better as it affords anyone organically grown food at cheaper prices .Since the place is managed by the cooperative I would say it's also helping them changing their lives as well.
The place was fully booked for the next three days. Too bad as I want my parents to have a relaxing time here and to dine with their organically grown food.
The facilities are names in the Waray Waray language. The dining place for example is called Balay Kaunan."Balay "means home while "kaun "means food. Since I ate heavy breakfast thanks to my mom @wildcollector I opted to trytheir
refreshing basil shake.
Even if made from indigeneus material the craftmanship especially in the bar area was impressive. Just look at the pattern they have weaved with the use of bamboo or "kawayan"
Just watching the kids play was calming me. The innocence in their laughter inspires me to think of the things that was well with my life than what's not. I realized things could have been worst.
I am happy that instead of just doling out financial support various groups had capitalized on the shared mission and vision of cooperative members here to be financially independent. In this business we see what achievements teamwork and good business strategy can do to a locality.
Because it's Lent I need back to city early as there is limited transportation.Sun tanned and happy was I.
