As always when nice weather is announced for the weekend, it takes me into the mountains. Like this Saturday, because who knows if there will be such great weather again and without snow in the mountains?

Our goal today was the Schynige Platte. From there we wanted to walk in about 6 hours to the First.

After I got up already at 5 o'clock, had breakfast and prepared my hiking backpack, we started at home at 6 o'clock so that we could catch the first run at 7.25 am.
From Wilderswil we took the train to the Schynige Platte. The ride took about an hour.
It goes up high up... From above you could already see that there was quite a lot of fog in the lowlands over the Lakes Thun and Brienz.

Looks nice, doesn't it?
But my favourite scene on the trip is when you come out of the tunnel and the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau tower up in front of you.
At the top we walked in the direction of the Panoramawalk.

Always with a view of my favourite mountains
Along the panorama path, you will actually always have a nice view to the totally beautiful blue Lake Brienz.
Unfortunately, as already mentioned, there was still a lot of fog over the lake.

But you can see the Augsmatterhorn and the brienzer Rothorn quite beautifully. By the way, there is also a tightrope walk.
At some point this view disappears and you walk all the way up towards Faulhorn.


We even saw some marmots.

Somehow I didn't feel as fit today as I already did, luckily there are only 6 hours to run hahaha.

After about 3.5 hours we reached the Faulhorn, after 900 meters of altitude difference we were now at 2'680 meters.
Also from there we had a great view over the mountains and even more the lake of Brienz.

After a refreshing lunch we went down towards First.
Already from above we saw the lots of people. The famous Bachalpsee is also on the way.


The view from the lake is quite nice, but I do not find the lake itself as special as probably all the international tourists.

At the last part back to the First, hundreds of people came towards us. That was really too much. Because I prefer to walk alone than with thousands of other people.

Before we took the train down, we walked over the Cliff Walk. That was for me with fear of heights not that esasy.


After exactly 5 hours we reached our destination and took the train from First to Grindelwald and then the train back to Wilderwil.

Wie immer wenn schönes Wetter angesagt ist fürs Wochenende, zieht es mich in die Berge. Wie auch diesen Samstag, denn wer weiss schon, ob es nochmals so tolles Wetter gibt und noch ohne Schnee in den Bergen?

Unser Ziel heute war die Schynige Platte. Von da aus wollten wir in ca. 6 Stunden bis zur First laufen.

Nachdem ich bereits um 5 Uhr aufgestanden bin, gefrühstückt und mein Wanderrucksack vorbereitet habe, starteten wir zu Hause um 6 Uhr, damit wir die erste Bahn um 7.25 Uhr erwischten.
Von Wilderswil aus ging es mit der Bahn auf die Schynige Platte. Die Fahrt dauert etwa eine Stunde.
Es geht hoch hoch hoch... Von oben sah man bereits, dass im Flachland über dem Thuner- und Brienzersee ganz schön viel Nebel lag.

Meine Lieblingsszene auf der Fahrt ist jedoch, wenn man oben aus dem Tunnel kommt und sich Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau vor einem auftürmt.
Oben angekommen liefen wir in Richtung Panoramaweg.

Entlang den Panoramaweg, hätte man eigentlich immer eine schöne Sicht auf den total schön blauen Brienzersee.
Leider, wie schon erwähnt, war immernoch sehr viel Nebel über dem See.

Jedoch sieht man das Augsmatterhorn und das brienzer Rothorn ganz schön. Dort gibt es übrigens auch eine Gratwanderung.
Irgendwann verschwinder diese Sicht und man läuft alles hoch in Richtung Faulhorn.


Sogar ein paar Murmeli haben wir gesehen.

Irgendwie fühlte ich mich heute nicht ganz so fit wie auch schon, zum Glück sinds ja nur 6 Stunden zum Laufen hahaha.

Nach etwa 3.5 Stunden erreichten wir das Faulhorn, nach knapp 900 gewonnenen Höhenmetern waren wir jetzt auf 2'680 m.
Auch von da hatte man eine tolle Aussicht über die Berge und auch etwas mehr noch den Brienzersee.

Nach einem stärkenden Mittagessen ging es dann auf den Abstieg richtung First.
Schon von oben haben wir die Völkerwanderung gesehen. Denn auf dem Weg liegt auch der berümte Bachalpsee.


Die Sicht vom See ist ja ganz schön, jedoch finde ich den See selber nicht so speziell wie wohl all die internationalen Touristen.

Beim letzten Stück zurück auf die First kamen uns hunderte von Leuten entgegen. Das war echt zu viel. Denn ich mal es lieber einsam zu wandern als mit tausenden anderen Leuten.

Bevor wir mit der Bahn runter fuhren, liefen wir noch über den Cliff Walk . Das war für mich mit Höhenangst nicht grad ohne.


Nach genau 5 Stunden haben wir übrigens unser Ziel erreicht und sind von der First mit der Bahn nach Grindelwald gefahren und dann von da mit dem Zug zurück nach Wilderwil.
