And so I have bought myself a new camera. How ironic. Wanting to ease a little on the amount of luggage I am carrying around nowadays. But good deals won't wait and when I saw already legendary Fujifilm X10 for 30000 HUF - about 80 eur, I couldn't resist and got myself into trouble. With that I mean buying a secondhand camera usually comes with shitty battery and will soon have to get a new one on amazon once I will stay somewhere with a possibility to order. But apart from that, it is an amazing piece of equipment, which gives you an experience of old school film cameras with a modern twist.
So, on somewhat cloudy and cold day I set out on testing my new camera and went almost traditionally to get lost in the city. My wanderings brought me to one of the most iconic buildings in Hungary. The Parliament of their Republic, which suspiciously looks way too much as some building in Vatican. With aim on trying the best this camera has to offer I tried it's decent zoom and convenient manual setting buttons.
While passing by the Parliament, The Soldier boys are obvious attraction. And there is plenty of them. Can't think of more useless occupation really. Walking around with a gun all day long, or in between cafe breaks. My deep sorrow boys.
But not to hate on Law enforcement people too much I will show you some historical parts too. Statues do look nice sometimes. They are one of the best objects to test out your camera abilities on. They don't move and pose good even against the sun. They are perfect models.
The Palace is obviously next to the river on a very strategical place. Visible from all the important viewpoints all around, it is for sure an icon of Budapest. Every postcard has it. But at this point I had enough of it and went to see the river itself. See some movement to capture some cool stills.
