I actually did not expect to be in Budapest for whole two weeks when teleporting myself from one of the most travel unfriendly countries at the moment - Georgia. But my friends i must admit it is time well spend here. Not only the hostels I am staying in are clean and at great locations, they have some amazing common areas and are quite cheap still, considering the part of the world I am at.
So, few days ago I have typically, with my elegant style of transportation [skatepack] went from the Margaret Island to the center of Budapest. I can literary see the Budapest eye from my window. Isn't that dream comes true...
It doesn't look like that but the small backpack contains all of my electronics and with the skateboard weights around ten kilograms. So not having the chance to roll it around like walking with a dog would be quite uncomfortable and exhausting. On my back than is another bigger piece of luggage which consist of some other things including a snowboard jacket which I wasn't keen on getting rid of as a new one costs around 100 dollars and with a duck tape all around it creates a small package. So this bag is mostly clothing and generally somewhat cheaper sort of equipment.
But, let's get back to exploring the city shall we. i have just wanted to give you an idea or a background of what was happening and why I am in Budapest to start with.
Hungary was the only EU country that would welcome me from Serbia without much hustle. And for that I have to write nicely about their amazing capital, Budapest. And now finally I will take you to one of the highest places around to see this beautiful city from above.
With little to no idea of where to go and what to see, I am taking an easy way and go after the statue on the hill on the other side of the river. Have to cross the white bridge and start taking one stair after another.
After a while of walking through some sort of a forest, conquering numerous stairs, I am finally reaching my destination. which to be honest looks more interesting from down below than when one stands next to it. But on the other hand, one gets the idea of how big is Budapest and really see quite a big chunk of it.
After reaching the place I wanted, hunger gets into me and I am done with taking pictures for the day as the only think in my mind is a Kebab shop.
