Today I will write about one of the funniest hostels I have ever had a chance to stay in. It is famous Pirate's hostel in Ulcinj. It's atmosphere is really lovely and the owner is true pirate.

Immediately after my arrival I was amazed by all the clever decorations, reminding sea life and piracy. One had a feeling he landed on a real ship. The owner sometimes proudly nicknaming himself "Hitler" is true entertainer. He doesn't give you much time to rest. You need to enjoy yourself with him. And others of course. Every day there are events and parties one should be ready for before booking. That wasn't my case too much, but I still enjoyed a fair bit of it.

Finding the place was easy. You just have to find the street with this old firefighters truck and walk by it. Of course I didn't know that and ended up going all the way around, up the hill, to find myself above the place and had to almost climb down back to it. Well why not, at least it was fun. At that time I was already guiding two other "party boys" going to the same place.

If I wouldn't be coming from Albania where I was volunteering in a bar for a month, I would be hungry for such place. At this moment I wasn't feeling it. Too many beers and rakia went down in Shkoder. All on the house of course. But my kidneys had to work that out. I guess what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger right.

At the reception I am meeting the all energetic owner and thinking what am I getting myself into. Party hostel... After a month of drinking. Damnit.

It was the evening of a sunset trip. "Okey, I am in", I have said without too much thinking. After all in such place you can't swim against the stream anyway. It is better to go with the flow and enjoy yourself.

Poco - the main pirate ordered a taxi-bus and fit around 20 people inside. With camping fridge full of beers, wine and rum the whole hostel goes on a trip, which probably half did not expected. I thing close to 100% of us really enjoyed it. The place to watch the sunset was briliant and I would have never went there alone.

After the sunset the party continued at the city beach. One of the wildest Albanian parties I have ever witnessed was on that night. Smoke bombs were thrown around and the scene got vibes like from Mad Max. Not bad considering the whole apocalypse worldwide. I did had a good time. If you're in Ulcinj and like to Party, Pirate's hostel is a must.
