If you love adventure, waterfall hopping, travel and see the true beauty of nature. Then, you shouldn't miss exploring Goa Rang Reng Waterfall.
It will take around 40 minutes to get there from Ubud Center by riding a scooter which we rented for $3.5 at the cozy accomodation we stayed together with my lover at Sila Urip Guesthouse. We stayed there for 4 days, because the price is very convenient for backpacker rate of $12 good for two person.
Me and my lover are fond of going to various waterfall destinations, it strikes us fancy hence this is one of the not so crowded waterfall in Bali.
One of the tip if you are traveling to other country is to get a local sim card which will guide you by the use of gps or google map.
It is highly recommended to buy an intenet sim card as it is beneficial for every destination we go especially that we are exploring the places on our own. Adventure right?! ;)
The place going to the waterfall by using google maps provides an easy access to reach Goa Rang Reng waterfall.
There are signs that will guide you and you have to take around 15 minutes walk from the roadside.
Entrance fee will cost you $1.06, we are surprised that there is a tourguide who will assist you on which route to go. I was hesitant that why are accompanied by them.**
FROM THE ENTRANCE..
The stream is stony but manageable, however be very careful when stepping on, you might be slip because it is sliperry and I think it is best if you carry a wood or something that you can carry to support as it gives you ease when walking along the way which took us 15 minutes.
There is a tour guide that will approach you.
The tour guide told us that there are 2 waterfalls, we headed from the first one which is a difficult route because you have to swim for a short distance around 10 steps, I think it is like 5.5 to 5.8 feet deep for you to enjoy the lovely attraction.
FIRST WATERFALL
I am not so good at swimming but my husband accompanied me to reach there hehe :D the struggle for me is real and more reason to practice swimming lol :P
Upon reaching the point of the waterfall it is not so deep anymore, there is a swing for fun ride and of course for a great eye-catching photo capture.
Awkward Moment Started
Well, we are done visiting the first waterfall, the tour guide said that we can pay a service and he suggested that most of the tourist pay him like around $7 each! We are surprised that he utter expensive fee. I have a second thought and hesitant to pay that amount because it is really high! He even volunteered without asking him to guide us, hmmm. He is good when taking picture though, pleasant and kind to us.
Lesson Learned:
- Don't give too much if you think it is not worth the price and try to defend or say something.
SECOND WATERFALL
Heading to the 2nd Waterfall is extremely easy, for only 10 minutes walk, you can fly a drone, go swimming and the water is not deep.
OUR EXPERIENCE:
Some of the people in Bali are overpricing, it is annoying as they keep on insisting and stuff. Better to do research, aslk locals and fellow backbackers and do your own research.
Anyways, we had a great and productive moment seeing those 2 waterfalls. It is truly magical and nature is indeed amazing!!
