During the Christmas holidays I used to enjoy my city Naples. There is no Christmas or New Year that I don't do elsewhere, there is only the family and friends of a lifetime ... and then why look elsewhere for what I have at home? Today I present the ancient Hosteria Toledo, already from the name it is understood that it is located in the surroundings of via Toledo, one of the most famous streets of the city. The owner is a nice lady very skilled in her profession. As soon as we arrived we found this environment. In fact, belonging to the central room, the restaurant consists of three other rooms located nearby.
Often in Naples you find divided rooms, as the historic center is very narrow for the alleys and the locals displace themselves in this intricate maze.

Durante le vacanze natalizie sono solita godermi la mia città Napoli. Non esiste Natale o Capodanno che io non faccia altrove, esiste solo la famiglia e gli amici di una vita...e poi perchè sercare altrove ciò che ho a casa? Oggi vi presento l' antica Hosteria Toledo, già dal nome si comprende che si trovi nei dintorni di via Toledo, una delle strade più famose della città. La proprietaria è una signora simpatica molto abile nel suo mestiere. Appena arrivati abbiamo trovato questo ambiente. Apprtenente al locale centrale, infatti il ristorante consta di altri tre ambienti dislocati nelle vicinanze.
Spesso a Napoli trovi locali divisi, in quanto il centro storico è molto stretto per i vicoli e i locali si dislocano in questo dedalo intricato.

Once seated we immediately order a white wine from Ischia as in the photo. A paradise for the palate, I drank two huge glasses and I would have drunk more. Here are the photos.

Una volta accomodati ordiniamo subito un vino bianco di Ischia come da foto. Un paradiso per il palato, ho bevuto due calici enormi e ne avrei bevuto ancora.Ecco le foto.

Let's move on to the ordinations. Let's start with a mixed fried as an appetizer, strictly in the untranslatable *** cuoppo***

Passiamo poi alle ordinizioni. Cominciamo con un fritto misto come antipasto, rigorosamente nell'intraducibile cuoppo.

Let's move on to the first courses based on fish.
Nothing to add except that I exclaimed to the owner: - "Madam, these dishes are a poem ..."

Passiamo ai primi piatti rigorosamente a base di pesce.

  1. Linguine alla Luciana.
  2. Linguine al cartoccio.

Nulla da aggiungere se non che ho esclamato alla proprietaria:-"Signora, sono una poesia..."

Non contenti, dato che tutto era buonissimo, abbiamo deciso di ordinare anche la frittura di pesce...e che v'o dic a ffa!Una goduria!

If by chance you go to Naples I recommend you go especially for the quality of the food. I found the bill right, 42 Euros per person, but the fish was the top. In fact, my husband @alenox also wanted to emphasize that the octopus was made of rocks, therefore very fresh.
NAPLES IS LIFE!

Se per caso andate a Napoli vi consiglio di andare soprattutto per la qualità del cibo. Il conto l'lho trovato giusto, 42 Euro a persona, ma il pesce era il top. Anzi mio marito @alenox ci ha anche tenuto a sottolineare che il polpo era di scoglio, quindi freschissimo.
Napoli è vita.
