At a distance of 15 km from the center of #Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the foot of Mount Igman, there is #VreloBosne, which is a unique protected nature park.

It covers 603 hectares of fenced and landscaped area - there are benches for sitting, covered rest areas, a playground for children, and in the central part of the complex there is also a restaurant where the specialty is freshly caught river trout.

The Bosna River rises at an altitude of 492 meters above sea level, from several strong sources, and as it is of excellent quality, it is also used for Sarajevo's city water supply.

A few swans and ducks swimming in the ponds that were formed on the expansion of spring streams, as well as a few waterfalls hint that you are not looking at a photo - what you see is so perfect, that for a moment you think you are looking at a picture frozen in time.

The best way to get to Vrelo Bosne is through the Great Alley, a beautiful promenade about 3.5 kilometers long, lined with approximately 3,000 chestnut and sycamore trees over a hundred years old. Vrelo Bosne can be reached via Great Allwy by a cab, which has been running on this route since 1895 and which today is one of Sarajevo's most popular attractions.
