As I told you in the Previous PostĀ I wanted to relax away from the city stress and noise so I went into a week trip to Malaga mountains.
There, in a hamlet called Corumbela, with no more than 300 inhabitants and deep in the mountains, lives peacefully an old friend of mine that hadn't seen her since almost 10 years ago, when she was trying to make a living in Alicante city, more than 650 kilometers aways from her native land.
You can see the sea (top right) from here and also she told me that, when it's very clear,Ā you can see the relief of the mountains of Morocco, on the African continent.
The peace she and her children have here in the mountains has no comparison with anything.
Also, they make their own bread with an old Andalusian recipe usingĀ traditional wood ovens.
There are some here ready to go to the oven.
They also have their herd of goats wich with they produce milk and cheese to sell it in the towns nearby or in the city. And, some times, they kill some young or suckling goats, both for eating or selling them.

And as they take advantage of every part of the goat, they also use their blood to make homemade blood sausages that they also sell in the market. Once stuffed they hang them to cure.
In this region are also very famous the PDO Moscatel raisins and after trying them there for first time I have to confirm their good fame.Ā
Loved her hospitality and the kindness from the people of the hamlet; also visiting these places and to see people living in this way is very instructive and makes you ask yourself some questions, among them, what exactly is happiness and where to find it?
And well, for some the answer it's clear (and I include myself): living in the mountains surrounded by nature and living off the land and animals.
