Plaza Houssay is one of the places in the Balvanera neighborhood with a very particular and attractive design. It's great to visit again and have a good time there. A few years ago I lived in that area and when you spend a lot of time in a place, what you see becomes customary and generally the attraction is lost. You come back some time later and everything seems wonderful again, so my walk there was quite pleasant and brought back good memories.

The neoclassical building that houses the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires is one of the main attractions, although it is not inside this square.

It's located on the other side of Córdoba Avenue and covers an entire block. It is imposing and beautiful in terms of its structure, architecture and design. Something that seems fantastic to me is that these types of old buildings are preserved and given good use, such as education.

I would like to be able to organize an extensive visit also inside to know its details.

I took a couple of photos of the upper part where you can see some of its sculptures and also another with a closer shot where you can see part of the columns.

This square is a quite busy place since in addition to the faculty of economic sciences there is the faculty of medicine, it is last if it is inside the square. Here you can generally see some protests related to health, an example of that is that banner where they demand that public health be preserved.

It is an issue that is under discussion in this new and current government.

It's also a good place for street photography, this girl is probably a medical school student, I can tell from her outfit.

In the background you can see the jacaranda, characteristic of this season. We are in spring and the city looks very interesting, beautiful and particular at this time.

Green areas and specific places to sit on the grass to spend some time is something that is often done here.

And this photo was one of my favorites 😄 right at the right moment 🐶

Inside Houssay Square you can see the informal sale of crafts and below the square there is a huge food fair, a cinema and the D line subway station.

There is a park for the kids, slides, but I think the main attraction of the square as such is the design and the green areas.

In addition to being in a good location, which makes it easy for many people to visit, very close to the station and easy access by bus.

DSC_0101.jpg

It's generally full but mostly by students from both faculties and by people who live nearby, in the surrounding area and in the Balvanera neighborhood itself.

It's a good place and in fact an interesting attraction for tourists, since there are iconic buildings such as the palace of running waters.

We're getting close to the weekend and all I'm thinking about is getting some rest and trying some good shots.
