The Best Teppanyaki in Town

My Mom and I, both of us, like Japanese Food, one of our favorite is Koi Teppanyaki.

Like its’ name, the special menu here is the teppanyaki. Teppanyaki is a tasty Japanese Dish with the main ingredient beef or chicken or seafood cooked with Japanese soy sauce, served with stirred vegetables and also a tofu.

And last Sunday, We went to one of its’ outlet in Senayan Plaza, South Jakarta. Koi Teppanyaki has many outlets in Indonesia.

The Place & Surrounding

Actually it’s not a big one and located in a food court on the 3rd level. We could sit and eat inside of this restaurant area or in front because the food court is big and has many kind of food.
The food court and restaurant areas here are highly maintenance, clean and neat. It’s indoor and also full air conditioner.

First, we looked at the menu to choose what we were going to eat.

The Special Menus: TEPPANYAKI

I decided to eat beef & fish shabu-shabu, while My Mom decided to order Beef Teppanyaki, which also my favorite. The fish that used for the shabu-shabu was dory. For the soup of the shabu-shabu, there were 2 options chicken soup or tom yum soup. After ordered, we paid first then the waiter could bring you your food if you were in this restaurant area, but if you are in the food court they usually would give you an alarm which would be rang when your order ready to be served.

TIP:
The restaurant is always crowded in meal times so if you don't want to wait for a long time to eat, come a bit earlier.

The Uniqueness
One of the unique thing here is you could see the chief live cook your dishes.

The chief also prepared my shabu-shabu.

The Food
After waiting for around 15 minutes, the waiter brought My Mom’s order:
SLICED BEEF TEPPANYAKI

Served with stirred vegetables, a tofu, miso soup and a bowl of rice
And after 25 minutes, my dish was also ready:
BEEF & FISH SHABU-SHABU

Beef and fish with vegetables and also enoki mushroom inside the shabu-shabu, served with a bowl of rice. I chose chicken soup for the soup taste.

The Experience
The taste of the beef teppanyaki was always the best, tasty, yummy, and savory. And the taste of shabu-shabu was also tasty, savory and a bit sweet because of the fish, but I like it. The fish was smooth and the beef was also tender.
I think the beef teppanyaki is the best menu here, and everyone should try it. But I also recommended the shabu-shabu.
