Do you feel like going for a walk today? Then come with me!

I try to do some physical activity every day. I go to the gym 3 - 4 times a week and the other days I do at least some stretching at home or I go for a walk to the forest nearby.

Recently I've realized that I've been using my car for short distances too much. Why do I do it? Well, to save time. But actually, I do have enough time. I know people nowadays are very busy and I feel blessed that I can honestly say I have time to do what I like and enjoy as I'm not working at the moment. Don't hate me 😊

I'm not going to find an excuse and say that I will start tomorrow. I'm going to start right now!

I was planning to go to Schaffhausen today as I need to get some items from the vegan shop. It's about 3 km to get to the shop. Normally I would go by car but not today! It's a wonderful sunny day and a great way to get my 10k steps a day.

There are different pathways to get to the city. I have decided to take the one which will lead me along the river. To get to the path I have to walk around 500 m down the hill to the train station. I took my bag and my camera and started to walk.

I came to the train station and wanted to take some pictures just to read the following message on my camera: SD card not inserted. Well, duh!! Of course it's not inserted as I left it on the dining table! I really didn't want to walk up the hill to get back home to pick it up. Then I've realized that I still have my smartphone with me so I can take some pictures anyway. My day has been saved!

All pictures from my trip are taken with my Samsung S7.

This is the path that I will take today...

There are plenty of stingy nettles next to the river. I think that @papa-pepper would enjoy this walk today as he likes eating raw stingy nettles.

There are also many blackberries. They are not ready to eat yet but I'll come back in a few days to try them.

It's almost lunchtime and the sun is very strong so I am happy to reach this tree alley. Walking under the trees in the shadow is so refreshing! This would be the perfect place for @plantstoplanks run.

Rhine behind the trees - can you spot one fish on the picture?

I'm slowly approaching Schaffhausen. You can see the highway bridge in the back. There is also a vineyard on the other side of the river.

There are different types of boats that you can see on the river. People enjoy boat trips during the weekend. You can also reach the lake Constance from Schaffhausen.

The water is so clear that you can watch the fish swimming around.

Fish, fish, fish..

More fish - I promise this is the last one.

Can you see the path in the back? This is where I've started my walk.

The water here is crystal clear. I also like that we are surrounded by hills and forests. The landscape in this region is breathtaking.

Schaffhausen has the largest river power plant called Moserdamm in Switzerland, which is certified according to the world's strictest guidelines for green electricity. It was built to get the energy but also to regulate the water and avoid flooding in the villages located nearby. The water is very deep and it's forbidden to swim here.

Just a few hundreds meters away I'm entering the city center - if you want to know more about Schaffhausen you can read it here.

It was a great walk and it took me around 40 minutes - not that bad! Of course I have bought a cookie to fill my stomach before heading back!

Let's go back home now as yesterday I stayed in the city a bit longer and my husband tried to make us some lunch. When I came home he was in the middle of cooking while talking on a phone with his colleague. How was the meal? He overcooked the pasta and forgot to put salt in the pasta water as well as in the sauce. Not the best meal I've ever had 😊
So today it's my turn to cook again!
