I had a nice weekend in Ohrid, visiting a lot of places in small amount of time. On the way there we didn't took the main road but took a side route. The road was passing through a wonderful mountains and spring and it was a joy to drive. We stop on couple of places and enjoyed the view and the sound of the springs.
Ohrid is a great city by the lake, full with old arhtecture and churches.
A view to the side walk.
The small church of Caneo is know for its special location.
Just a little bit above its the church Sait Clement.
It is named after Clement, who made the cyrillic alphabet.
We also visit the Saint Naum church that is of the opisit side of the lake. It is a part of a whole complex with nice garden and water springs.
The Ohrid lake have many springs who are filling it with water, but the Saint Naum spring are the biggest ones.
It even have peacoks walking around.
The church it self is quite old one, and is turned in museum.
From this point there is a wonderful view of the lake.
The next day on the way back we went to lockal vilage Vevchani.
All this region is in the mountains, and there is a lot of water and springs. Vevchani was the same. Just a little bit above the village a wonderful spring with great surroundings.
There was small wooden bridges, and nice paths to walk around.
And at the end of the path was this beatiful place to seat and relax.
All the best.
