I hope you guys are doing great.
Today I am gonna create a post about the Mysterious Lake situated in the foothills of Mighty Himalayas in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh, India.
Situated at an alitude of above 3,000 meters above the sea level, this wonderful lake is surrounded by Alpine Forests, no geological study has been able to calculate the depth of the lake accurately.
The water of the lake is so clear and the locals believe that birds around there clean the lake if leaves fall into this lake. Isn't it Strange ? It is also believed that the water of this lake is used for medicinal purposes.
According to some people this Mysterious Lake is dedicated to Budhi Nagin, the mother of all Nag Lords of this state. Theres a temple of Budhi Nagin goddess nearby the lake.
I have read a story from one of the blog that it is said that the lake is very very deep and Budhi Nagin lived in a palace at the bottom of the lake and one day a person from nearby village (Shoja) drowned himself in this lake and this Budhi Nagin saved him and allowed him to stay at the palace for three long years.
And after three years when that person went back to his house, his family and friends were surprised to see him because they assumed he died. Upon asking the truth again and again, he revelead it, the moment he told them he died. Well that story sounds fictious well who knows whether its real or not.
This lake is around 5 Kilometers from Jalori Pass and one has to trek to reach this lake and it takes around 2-3 hours to reach this lake from the pass.
