I Hope you guys are having a wonderful day.
Today I am gonna post about a mountanious area that ranges about 2320 meters to 6816 meters above sea level and the name of this district is Kinnaur and it is one of the smallest districts in India by population.
This district is about 250 Kilometers away from Shimla the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. According to Wikipedia, the old Hindustan-Tibet road passes through this valley and enters Tibet after crossing Shipki-La Pass. It became separate district on 1st May 1960.
This place is famous for Kinner Kailash which is a mountain sacred to Hindus and it is believed that the mountain is Shivling.
Talking about the temperature, this district has long winters from October to May and Summers are short from June to September and a research proved that this district has the cleanest air in the country.
Kinnaur is also known as the land of apples. Various varities of apples are grown in this district like Royal, Golden, Red Golden and Scarlet Spur. Kinnaur Apples are sweet and juicy. This region is covered with snow from November to April.
This district has a population of around 85K according to the census of 2011 and the literacy rate is 80 %.
So, if you want to experience the cleanest air and the nature this is the best place to fit yourself in. One can visit Last Indian Village Chitkul from here which is around 60 Kms. approximately from Kalpa.
Do let me know what do you think about this place.
Till then Keep Steeming....
Thank You
