Karlsruhe Zoologischer Stadtgarten

This wonderful place can be found right in the heart of Karlsruhe more exactly on Ettlingerstrasse 6 in Karlsruhe Baden-Wurttemberg Germany.
With a price of only 11€ per person, we can enter in the animal world.
The zoo features some of the African animals like zebras, giraffes, lions, antelope...but also some very rare animals like snow leopards, chimpanzees, and many more,this is really a huge garden with all sorts of animal species from the most common to the most bizarre.So let se some:)

The karpatenluchs is probably one of the most beautiful beauties of the Carpathians(this mountain range is located in Romania). He is usually a shy and withdrawn animal because he is fleeing people, but he is also a predilection animal that is extremely agile, fast, intelligent and courageous.

The African Lion is also called the King of the Jungle, because of its beauty and power. The masculus is distinguished by the female in its bosom that protects it during the battle, having a color that contains yellow and light brown shades.

Chinese Leopard can occupy a variety of habitats, but the most preferred and commonplace is in savannah and forest areas. But whatever that habitat is, they prefer to climb and escape into the trees. And the males of this species are usually bigger than the females.

Unfortunately, I have not seen any birds,but their song excited me, hearing from the forested places, which at all pity I caught my eye, hoping to see a small bird.
Zoologishe Statgarden Karlshure was founded in 1865 and is one of the oldest in Germany where we can enjoy a beautiful flora and fauna with an impressive number of 1,200 animals and about 15,000 plants.

Flamingo is a bird known for its beauty and elegance, which attracts all eyes through the color of its pink or red plum depending on the species. This color is due to the shrimp dyes that feed it, this dye entering the body of the birds and offering this beautiful color, but also has an important role in the health of their body.

Blue peacock is one of the most beautiful birds in the world but also one of the most respected.
This zoo is easily accessible not only to those who come with their own car, but also to all the people who come with the public transport because of its position, which is very close to Karlsruhe Train Station.
Here the animals enjoy a very wide area that is adapted to their natural environment, some animal species being left free to walk among the visitors, like this beautiful Blue Peacock.

Zebra, this species belongs to the horses that are distinguished by its stripes painted in black and white. These stripes are different with a unique pattern for each individual.
Although zebras are slower than horses, they have not yet been bloomed to be able to ride.

The name of this beautiful animal is Bennett's tree-kangaroo, Kangaroos are marsupial mammals that use their tail as one foot. Those who meet here are beautiful and little and besides the brown ones you will meet and white kangaroos.

Humboldt penguin is found on the west coast of South America, its name comes from the Humboldt Stream. It is not a migratory species and the male can distinguish the female only by the white stripe that has it on its head. The female of this species make annually 2 eggs which climbs, and after the exit of the little penguin , the both parents are able to feed the little one .

The crane is a species we can encounter in wetlands with marshes, meadows, forests, rivers and some lakes that are not deep.This bird emits a particular sound, they have long legs and long neck, their feathers is from gray to white. They feed on roots, fruits, leaves, insects, small mammals but also with eggs and frogs' frogs.

Here we also met som species of monkeys among which the Chimpanzee, Geoffroy spider monkey Sumpfmeerkatzen and Kattas.

Monkeys or primates as they are called are part of the smarter mammals on earth,because they are very similar to humans.From this coms also the idea that we humans we come from monkeys.But this is a very disputable idea in which I do not want to get involved.

The Goffin-kakadu also know as Tanimbar corella
Parrots are generally wonderful and beautiful companion birds, they become a pleasant companion or even a good friend of the human. They are beautiful birds with a very beautiful colorful plumage and can even be taught to speak.
The food of these wonderful birds is quite diverse, they usually feed on fruits, vegetables, nuts, meat and cereals.

Erdmännchen or Suricata suricatta
Suricata is a 4-finger mango, is a small mammal living in the desert, it has an average of life about 10 years (if it does not become a kidnapper's dinner), and usually lives in groups of 30 or over 30 of this specimens .These animals are some of the most lazy lives. And usually sleep in the most bizarre positions. These animals are so lazy that they fall asleep also wen they walking,for them it is normal to fall asleep from time to time.
They are very funny animals making true acrobatics in their attempt to keep their eyes open and balance at the same time,but finally they fall asleep again.

Wüstenfuchs (Desert Fox) or Fenek
Fencing or fox of desert can be found in the Sahara desert or Arabian desert, this being adapted to the arid desert environment. The name of this species comes from Arabic language where fenek means fox.These animals are on the verge of extinction, they have a very beautiful fur of beige cream,their ears are much higher than normal, for example a male ears can reach between 15-20 cm, considering that they are small animals about 30-40 cm .Their tail long too, having 25-30cm.

Vietnamesischer Moosfrosch ,Theloderma corticale
It is one of the most unusual frogs, its body is covered with bumps, ridges and thorns.
This is a nocturnal and semi-aquatic frog, having a length of apoximax of 8 cm, and due to their specific skin pass easily unnoticed, camoufling among trees or tree muscles.So they are not the beautiful frogs I ever met.

This beetle has meny names know as Pachnoda sinuata, sun or rose Beatles.It can be fun in South Africa and Namibia, These Beatles are very harmful to crops because thei Feed whit flowers and fruit.
Although they prefer exotic plants such as roses and camelia, they also feed on a wide range of indigenous plants, such as acacia flower.
We can distinguish them from other beetles with their variable color, which is yellow, with a dark brown area and a yellow line behind.

This African prey species called zebra mango, bearing this name because of characteristic back straps.
Zwergotter
It is the smallest Vidra with a maximum weight of about 5 kilograms, it comes from Southeast Asia. These are very sociable animals that live in family groups.

The alpaca is related to the blade or camel, they are very sociable animals, often found in the households of humans. They are from South America and they have a very valuable wool, being very loved animals.

The pelican is a great and very beautiful bird species found in temperate and tropical regions that make a very loud noise when closing down their beak.Due to their large but fairly light body, they can not sink for food, fishing only at the depth they reach with their beak and wide throat, they usually fish in groups, having their own trick to constrain how many Pisces in the circle what these birds make from waving from the wings.

Kropfgazellen
These animals live in tropical African areas. It is a beautiful animal with an elegant silhouette that is found in all species of gazellen,the difference between these species is just their size.

It îs really amazing how this fishes are coming with their mouths open near to you’re hand.

What can be more relaxing than a boat ride,surrounded by all kinds of curious birds floating on the water around you.
Here we can meet all sorts of ducks, swans, pelicans and many others who do not know their names but have admired their beauty.
