Recently I have an opportunity to visit Pulau Omadal of Semporna. Beautiful island.I'm consider so lucky because this island not been open for tourist and outsider, but I'm too lucky to be welcome as family here. I'm staying a night in this island, exploring and learn about life of bajau laut.
I'm considering that they are the viking of asean. They originally stay in the boat at the sea. But, under some circumstance they start building a house near the beach.

Their main source of life is sea product. They are the best fish hunter, they can dive longer than human. Trust me if they can dive more than 4 minutes.
The problem with the bajau laut is lack of education that was very important for kid nowaday. The was some well known NGO try to give those kid free eduction, but the government dont want them to teach the bajau without permit where the paperwork itself takes year to finish.
Another problem with them is they taking shoe glue for their escape, that include the kid even the parent. That was ugly truth that other people didn't know about them.
It was sad, but that was what happen.
I'm happy to become part of their family in few days. I hope to coma again there and have good time while helping them.on what is important for them.
