Mount CusnaWhen I want to pull the plug, to get away from everything and everyone that I head over this mountain. Here peace reigns silence, the only noises are those of the animals that live this mountain, the air is clean and fresh and the only thing that reigns in peace.

We are on Mount Cusna the second highest mountain of the Apennine Reggiano after Mount Cimone on the border between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany.
This mountain has a height of 2121 meters, and the curiosity is that the ridge of the mountain forms a lying man called Deadman or Giant.

This Mountain is particularly visited from a naturalistic point of view, this mountain is full of trails and shelters. Here nature remains untouched, and diving into paths inside the Royal Abetine which is a conifer forest becomes relaxing for body and spirit.

Inside the dos, you can admire ancient spruce trees and come across herds of donkeys that wander left and right to feed.
This mountain in addition to many trails has as many shelters places to relax after miles of salts and descends between woods and stony hills.

I love these places and to get to Villaminozzo country at the foot of this mountain you have the opportunity to see also the Bismantova Stone.

This mountain is always part of the 1041-meter-high Appennino Reggiano, located in the municipality of Castelnuovo ne' Monti, this mountain is a destination for professional climbers since it is made of only rock.

At the foot of Mount, Cusna is Lake Garfagnana, the busiest place for people relaxing and fishermen, and here there is also a restaurant where you can eat typical produce of the ideal place to rest after a long walk in Montana.

If you want to escape from the mess of the cities from the usual routine this is the ideal place to take a breath of nature and life, backpacking and ready for adventure.
I usually go with my puppy and he also seems to appreciate the air of these places, magically filling up with energy and nose on the ground to follow any trace.
.These places in autumn are also a destination for mushroom hunters there are several porcini delicious mushrooms of these areas.
