Yesterday I got home from 3 day trip through Slovakia, and I was 150km away from Kraków and unfortunately i had to go home and not meet a bunch of cool people.

It was Sunday afternoon when a friend called me and said that they need someone to go with them to Slovakia to check some cars as he was looking to buy one. So 4 hours later, after finishing some work stuff i was in the car traveling :)

The starting hour should been 22:00 but of course we were late, but only 20 minutes. At 7:00, after two and a half hours waiting at Hungarian border and meeting most complaisant customs officer ever, we were in Bratislava.
Our final destination for that day should be Detva.
99% of the photos in this post are taken from a moving car, as most of the time not spend on sleep was in the car.

This looks like a really interesting castle, but no time to stop. Beckov Castle

This also looks interesting, from a moving car :) Trenčín Castle

And then the interesting color patterns started to appear in the mountains.

We got to Detva around 5PM seen the last car that was planned and started looking for a place to spend the night. We found Masarykov dvor a nice, food was nice and the room was what we needed, nothing spectacular but we fell a sleep almost right away after 24 hours on the road.

Me trying to find something interesting on Slovak TV (there was nothing, and that nothing was dubbed)

We finished the job in Detva and had to go to Bratislava to get new plates. And we were late, so we spend the night there.

So 1.800km in 3 days, a lot of time in the car, a fun trip and no steemfest for me :( I was joking with my friends that they could leave me with the old car there so i could go to Kraków for a day or two to meet some of you great people, and i would probably do that, but i had to be home for work :(

Hope that all of you that are lucky enough to be there are having fun. And just so you know, i really love and hate to read all your posts from the fest.
