24 Hours Tancuj Tancuj

Orchestra and Choir competition ended around 4PM. Up next was defile through the town. All the competitors form a column and go through the town, stopping on few corners and performing a part of their performance.

Opening of the dancing competition was around 5:30PM. And i can say i was surprised by the organization and how precisely everything was moving along. I missed the opening, man has to have his drink from time to time :)

My goal here was to try and capture the tension in them before the show.

They were up. I was not happy with my position for photographing (did not want to be in front of the crowd), and limited with only 85mm, not very happy with what i got, but it is what it is.

Folklore from Kovačica was performing last and they finished at 9:40 PM. Now i had i choice to wait for the winner announcement or go and watch second half of Champions league final. Well beer and football won (unfortunately we watched the catastrophe of Liverpool and their goalkeeper). You can see that after that there are no photos, attribute it to beer and the fact that I was up for 15 hours on my feet :) Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. After the announcement there was a party, and it lasted until 3 AM. At 3 AM we gathered at the bus, and after 5 minutes of driving everyone was asleep except the driver :D
It was 6 AM when we got home. It was a nice sunrise and it would be great for the end of the video i was filming but all i could see is my shower and my bed. It was an interesting experience, wearisome but fun.
