We’re a Korean restaurant in London. We are crazy about BBQ. We love everything about it from its smoky smell, the get together of family and friends and most of all how it tastes. We started our love of BBQ since we moved over from Korea and kept it our family tradition to have one every Sunday come rain or shine whatever the weather. Our father, “Chef Cho” has refined his secret recipes to keep the authentic taste of Korean food alive and most importantly to keep the traditional method of cooking sacred.
At our restaurant you can experience and take a glimpse of what it will be like eating in a Korean BBQ in Seoul. The busy atmosphere, grilling of different marinade meats and trying out Koreas number one drink Soju, or you can also choose a more homey dish and go for the hearty soups that we are very well known for.
Good Korean food was very hard to find in London especially for Daddy Cho’s standards as a professional Korean Chef, his recipes were far too good to keep to himself so we decided to open up a small Jin Go Gae. He wanted a place where he could have genuine good honest food locally without cutting corners and compromising the taste and a good excuse to entertain friends and family.
As a true romantic Mr Cho decided to call it Jin Go Gae to keep his promise to Mrs Cho that if he opened up a restaurant it will be named after the place where they first met in Seoul and shared their first Kalbi and dreams together.
Our passion for real Korean food is in the taste, we pride ourselves to call it authentic as we use the finest ingredients and skills to honour the traditional method passed down to us. We think this should be shared to everyone who loves Korean food.
