Nearly 2 weeks ago, I had a brief site visit at Lahad Datu, a small district located on the Eastern Side of Sabah. Driving across from West to East, from Kota Kinabalu to Lahad Datu took about 10 hours. It was a long journey, but an enjoyable one.

When we reached Lahad Datu, just beside the hotel that we were going to stay for the night is a cafe, called My Cafe. Inside the cafe is fully air-conditioned, but my friend prefers to sit outside so that he can smoke his vape.

The entrance of the cafe.

And a few pictures of the dining area inside.
It's about 6.00pm so the temperature is not that hot and humid outside.

Here are some of the menus available at this cafe.

We were quite tired, and a bit hungry by then. So each one of us ordered the same thing.

ABC "Ais Kacang or Ais Batu Campur" or Shaved Ice in English is one of the best and most popular dessert in South East Asia. It's originally just shaved ice and red beans but has since expanded with different dressings and fruit cocktails.
And the best dish to be eaten with ABC, nothing beats Chocolate or Peanut Butter Waffles. I can still remember the taste of those hot sweet waffles in my mouth.

Overall, the cafe is nice, clean and has good ambience. It doesn't have many customers, so its a nice place to relax and hang out. The owner and the staffs are really friendly and helpful too. If I ever come to Lahad Datu again, I will surely drop by this cafe.
