This is a bit more like a photographic tour of the White Sands Walk in the picturesque area of Jervis Bay in Australia. We had visited this area over the summer and we tried to make a nice balance of walks and beach visits... and this particular day was a mix of the two... a nice easy trail walk that connected several secluded beaches... perfect for a quick dip for the kids to cool off before heading off and walking again.
... and it is surprising that even a 30 minute walk will deter most of the large crowds... leaving you with nice beaches all to yourself!
So, we had to dump our car in a nearby busy beach... and then start walking away from the crowds. Our kids were complaining about that.... but we did tell them that it would be better and less crowded as soon as we got a bit further away!
Heh... I do love some of these raised walkways... there is something really nice about being able to look down onto the ground area... and not have to worry about snakes in the brush!
... oooh, a peek at our first beach area?
... ah well, some other people did bother to make the walk, but it wasn't anywhere near as crowded as the other beaches with road access!
This was the first beach stop, and then we did continue walking and made two more stops before reaching another large crowded beach where we stopped for a late lunch. And then we did the same in reverse! A nice long day... and my wife and kids loved the beach stops... I'm not a fan of swimming in salt water, so I had bag duty instead.
The rest of the photos are a photo journal of the walk... not much to explain, but lots of nice sights to see!
