Sometimes, different projects almost line up back to back but not quite... and it isn't really worth heading back home and then back out again. Well, that's not quite true... I often take every chance to get back home even if it is only for half a day.

But this particular time, I was too tired to think about doing two concerts with four three-hour trips throughout. So, I booked the cheapest not-terrible place in the middle of Sydney CBD... and sort of was pleasantly surprised!

So, first up... I was just after a place to crash in the evening between projects... and this particular place was having a sale when I was looking for some reason.

A very unobtrusive entrance just a short walk away from Sydney Central and just around the corner from Chinatown... it is crazily conveniently located.

... and once you are at the upper levels. You step out of the lift... into this little tiny hallway... three room entrances and a fire escape. No room wasted here!

But once you are inside, well, the place is pretty spacious for a single person overnight traveller... and it would probably be fine for a couple as well. Unfortunately, there are no cooking facilities or even cutlery or crockery... despite having a microwave and a fridge! Strange mix...

Comfy and spacious king-sized bed... in the same room as the rest, the place is designed as a studio apartment... it has been quite a while since I've been in one of these!

And you have a small but quite functional bathroom as well, at least that is in a seperate room!

This particular room had a pretty nice view, overlooking the main George Street... can't complain. And the noise from the main street isn't audible up in the apartment either, the windows are nicely sound insulated!

So, a surprisingly decent place to crash the night that wasn't too expensive. A nice find... but I'm not quite sure if I would book this place if it wasn't on sale.
