Ah, travelling for vacation is always a nice thing to do, even if you are like and not a great fan of hotel beds and beaches. I'm not entirely sure what it is about beaches, but the thought of sitting on the equivalent of a desert in the middle of the hot day isn't something that I really would consider to be totally sane. Forest or mountain would be the better choices for me... Actually, forest would definitely be the top choice in a hot summer day.
However, my kids and my wife are apparently not totally sane... Something that I already knew about my wife's family... They love to spend summer days on the beach! So, I'm terribly outvoted and that is generally where we spend our warm months!
As the holiday draws to a close, there is the incoming little administrative tasks that are often left for me to handle. No problem, I prefer my organisation of all these things anyway! Unfortunately, this time, my laptop is still playing up a bit and it is a bit of a fun flip as to whether or not I will be seeing a Bsod from a failed critical process. These things are annoying at the best of times... And even more annoying when you are trying to fill out an online form!
I will have to do a driver update when I get home across everything that has a hardware footprint. Failing that, it is the clean Windows reinstall that I have been studiously avoiding!
Well, there are these added Corona complications these days. Health and travel declarations, extra tests (we aren't fully vaccinated yet... Almost there!).
Annoyingly enough, the Dutch form has click targets on the pdf that are about 2 pixels wide. Then it doesn't want to sign the document either. Might try on a different device... Or we will be filling out the declaration on paper... Somewhere.
Anyway, checked in, taxi booked... Declaration downloaded. Ready to go... I can now go back to enjoying the last day!
