Another project and another stay in Sydney!!! This time a serviced apartment just around the corner from the Concourse where the concert was being held. Now, Chatswood is a really nice place to stay and work... not in the middle of the city by any means, but just a short train ride on the northern line out of the CBD... but what is great about it is the large Asian community in the area!

... and that means, LOTS and LOTS of great Asian restaurants to choose from! From Chinese roast inns through to Japanese and everything else in between!

... but this post is about the hotel, the Sebel in Chatswood. After we go up the lifts, we have the uninviting rabbit warren feel that many commercial hotels have... really, it is quite hideous... this sort of endless walkway with overly bright lighting and non-descript walls and carpet. I guess, it bland... but non-offensive!

Stepping into the room, we are met with a strange layout. Immediately a laundry to the right, and a forking with the bedroom in front and the rest of the apartment at a sharp left. And it feels even more like a warren!

Thankfully, it all opens out into a decently sized bedroom with a balcony attached.

A small kitchenette is always a welcome addition for a weary traveller... and sometimes, the takeaways that I pick up don't get eaten straight away... which means that a microwave is always a great thing to have nearby!

Finally, the lounge area. When I'm travelling I tend not to be using this area... I try to unpack as little as possible, as I'm often not longer than a few nights in any one place... and if I unpack too much, then it is more likely that I'll lose things and it makes the repacking that much more of a pain in the arse!

Still... maybe one of these days, I'll hook up my gaming laptop to the TVs and then have a nice gaming session on a really large screen!

A beautiful night-time view of Sydney! Just don't look out in the daytime... much less beautiful!
