I often find myself in the Entertainment Quarter of Moore Park... probably something to do with my job. I am often at the recording studio that is nearby, either for recordings or rehearsals. So, it does mean that I end up trying the various cafes and restaurants along the way... but I do think that most of them are pretty overpriced and catering for the tourists and all the families that are visiting for the entertainment quarter attractions...

The Space

As always, I chose an inside spot even though I was visiting in the summer and it was a nice sunny day outside. There was quite a bit of space outside and also on the inside... but I preferred the inside on this day. I had arrived early from the airport and had several hours to kill... so, I figured it was nicer to wait inside with my bags and be attached to a power point for my computer.

The Menu

Ah well, there wasn't really a menu to find and photograph.... it is just a pantry of food to choose from instead! It is a point and eat sort of place...

The Food

I opted for a simple fish and chips... this is a sort of meal that can just take its time to be eaten. And this was a decent one... beer battered barramundi fillets, a sort of staple for Australian cafes and restaurants. The chips on the other hand... sometimes they can be a bit hit and miss, but this time... nicely crispy! Just perfect!

... and rounding off with a nice coffee. My wife does think it is weird that I drink coffee with my meal... but I'm an adult, and I can drink whatever I want whenever I want, even if it is a touch strange!

The Experience

Well... I don't think I would go this place if I wasn't working around the corner, but seeing as I' around so often, I figure that it is one of the more decent places on this little strip of cafes. The best thing is that I'm left alone by the staff to while away my time... even if I'm hogging a little table, and ordering a few too many coffees to justify staying there!
