This is my application for the contest Reflection Hunters Contest - SMARP (Show Me A Reflection Picture) ~ Round 249 🎺 Announcement 🎺! by @olgavita
The year 2025 is steadily approaching its end. In 4 days, he will become history. At this time, there is always a very stressful work in the office and absolutely no time for your favorite creative work in our Hive.
So, 10 days ago, I told you about a walk with my children on Red Square. But it is impossible to tell about everything in one post; for this, you need to write a whole story. Back then, I immediately prepared photos with trapped reflections. I'm a hunter of shadows and reflections. On this day, my grandson and my son-in-law helped me catch reflections on this walk.
An interesting point is that my son-in-law himself suggested that I catch his reflection in a Christmas ball. The red ball. I chose this color on purpose. There were also blue, green, and white balls hanging on the tree, but I wanted to catch his reflection in the red ball. It seems to me that this especially creates a festive mood.
In the background is one of the most beautiful churches in Russia - St. Basil's Cathedral.
The cathedral is unique in that the building, with a height of more than 60 meters, does not have a deep foundation — only a high basement on an artificially raised hill on the site of a defensive moat. Such a large hulk, which currently consists of 11 churches, is supported by a ribbon foundation no more than 2 meters high. And the Cathedral has been standing for almost 500 years.
And here is the white ball. To be more precise, it's not even white, but mirrored, and it looks like it's transparent.
Today I was preparing other photos with trapped reflections, but then I remembered about the Christmas balls and decided that I would tell you about the New Year's Eve walk in Moscow in order. There will be new trapped reflections next week.
