Greetings, friends.
It so happened that this week my son and I visited Karelia. My son and his wife decided to relax at the Khvoya-Karelia recreation center and invited me to go with them. I didn't think long and went with them to Lake Navdozero, on the shore of which this Park Hotel is located. It is about a 1-hour drive from the airport of Petrozavodsk, the capital of the Republic of Karelia.
To be more precise, this is glamping, with cozy little houses among tall pines. It is not the season for recreation in this park, so there were few visitors and the price of houses is lower than in summer. Out of curiosity, I looked at the Christmas booking calendar and saw that there would be a full load in the park for the Christmas holidays.

A large number of rabbits live in the glamping area. They have free range all over the park, and they are literally begging for food. For this purpose, carrots are specially sold, which rabbits take from human hands. They are absolutely not afraid of visitors, because they live here and even try to run into the house if they do not close the front door. I saw similar behavior of rabbits in Kaliningrad when I was walking through one of the fortresses of this city. By the way, friends, did I tell you about this? This is my oversight.

I've been raising rabbits for almost 20 years. Why didn't I make a special enclosure for the rabbits to run around and have fun? My granddaughter also asked me this when we visited a farm with her in August. She really liked the rabbits back then. She wasn't with us this time; she has to go to school.

There is a sandy beach and a sauna on the lake's shore. But the sauna is only open in summer, and you can also lie on the beach only in summer. It's not the season right now.
My son has 2 vacations - in the warm season and in winter. In May, we went to Kaliningrad.

The Suna River, with rapids, flows near the park hotel, but in winter it can be shallow due to a dam in the upper reaches. In spring, there is a lot of water in the reservoir, and therefore, floodgates are opened on the dam to discharge excess water, and then the river rapids become stormy.

We were at this glamping for 3 days. We devoted one day to a trip to Kivach Waterfall. The waterfall is an excursion object within the Kivach Nature Reserve, which covers an area of more than 10,000 hectares.
The nature reserve also houses a nature museum and an arboretum. But the arboretum looks boring this time of year.

A very pleasant place to relax. There is an eco-trail that you need to walk slowly and look around. The trail leads to the waterfall itself.

The waterfall is almost 11 meters high and 170 meters long.

I think to see the full power of the waterfall you need to come in the spring, in the season of big water.

The distance from our hotel to this nature reserve is 80 km; the road is good but winding. The day passed quickly in winter, so we were in the reserves for about 2 hours and set off on our way back.

Every day we swam in the warm pool. The water temperature was about 40 degrees Celsius, and the air temperature was -8. I don't want to leave the water, I want to live in it. But the pleasure cannot be endless.
