There is a place that catches my attention with a name sign that is decorated with a bright light bulb. So, I set up my foot into a restaurant that looks comfortable to relieve fatigue.
When we decide to travel, walk home, and look for a place, we want to discover new things.
I have done that trip in a shopping center that connects the city where I live with the city of Medan, which is the capital of the province.
Chat Box Coffee Comes with a Warm Design
It's not easy to turn a dining place in a shopping center became a comfortable place to spend time. Usually, restaurants in shopping centers are more of a fast food concept and with limited space.
But that does not apply to Chat Box Coffee. This restaurant located in the shopping center "Manhattan Times Square", offers a comfortable place to chill out.
The design of this place is minimalist with a warm concept. We can see warm elements in the form of wood and also the application of lights that can conjure up the atmosphere to be beautiful, soothing, and warm.
The light produced from the layout of the light bulbs in various angles makes this place like a symbol of a place that is able to make you think out of the box and produce bright ideas like those lights.
The neat layout of the settings makes Chat Box Coffee look spacious so it does not make visitors feel like they are not in a dining venue located in a shopping center. Chat Box Coffee has indoor and outdoor spaces.
In the afternoon the outdoor space sometimes really bright sunlight can affect comfort. But visitors can consider this because it only happens a while.
Outdoor space is suitable for visitors who smoke or who want to enjoy the view outside the shopping center building.
Foods and Beverages
The food and drinks served by Chat Box Coffee all have authentic Indonesian flavors.
We can look at the menu book list, available various foods and drinks that are popular in the culinary city of Medan.
Fried Rice / Nasi Goreng
This is a menu of Indonesian people's love that you should always try when visiting Indonesia. :) Chat Box Coffee provides a variety of fried rice with interesting toppings and fillings including: Special Fried Rice; Javanese Fried Rice; Curry Fried Rice; Pineapple and Curry Fried Rice; Chicken / Beef Black Pepper Fried Rice; Cheese Fried Rice, and many more.
Asian Rice

Es Cendol, Es Cincau, Tamarillo Juice with passion fruit are the most favorite choices. Of course, there are many other beverage choices that are tailored to the comfort of your tongue in general.
My Choices
I really like Kuew Teow. In Medan, Kuew Teow is indeed a favorite served on a hot plate.
I have chosen Kuew Teow, sprinkled with spicy sauce with seafood stuffing! Yuuuumy! Unfortunately, the texture is too over-cook, causing the rice noodles to look too soft so they don't look springy.
But overall, the taste of the Kuew Teow was very good, even though the texture was over-cooked.
Meanwhile, my sister chose Rice with Tomyam Soup.
For drinks, I chose a favorite juice that is hard to find in other areas, namely a mixture of Tamarillo and passion fruit. It feels really fresh.

Tamarillo and passion fruit juice are served with a separate sugar liquid so you can add a sweetness level to your taste.
Meanwhile, my sister only chose tea with lemon mixture.
About Service
During peak hours, the service at Chat Box Coffee has no problems at all. This shows Chat Box Coffee has good service.
The waiters are friendly and orders arrive on time, according to the difficulty level of the type of food we ordered.
Unfortunate Thing
Unfortunately, there are no toilets because the restaurant relies on toilets in the shopping center building.
There are only sinks available for handwashing.
So if a visitor wants to use the toilet, we must exit Chat Box Coffee from finding a toilet in the shopping center building. But no need to worry because the location is not far away, it is in the same building so there is no need to leave the building.

Nothing wrong with going out for a moment and at the same time looking for daily needs in a shopping center. Then, you can visit Chat Box Coffee to chill out and relax.
