I arrived in the big city or Saigon or Ho Chi Minh city and to no surprise it was filled with traffic, people, sounds, and all kinds of movements. The contrast from a big city and the country side is stark and loud. I can feel the energy of the place, the buzz of it all. Lets have a look shall we.
I first stopped off at a friends Ice-cream shop.
We met a few years ago in another country and after learning about the ice cram shop I had to visit....even thought it was in another country.
Yummy ice-cream. I used to work in a n ice ream shop and quite liked doing so. So coming across a friends shop is a treat. My friend was not around but I meet up with her in a say or so to have diner.
Moving on...
The alleys intrigue me as I pass on by I take a moment to take a picture of what might be around that corner....lots to see into the city.
Wait a moment...what is this I see?
That looks scrumptious. Not sure what it is, I buy one to find out though.
That swirled one.
It was good. Different unique and tasty. Just what I needed to make the day move on with some fuel.
Now here is a funny drawing. I like how they break down cartoons and piece them into the world of laws and overlords.
Lets move on an d have a look at another few places I stopped at this day.
Here is a unique idea. Have fresh ingredients like the grocery store. Let people choose produce and build a stir-fry. Overcharge customer for each piece of greens and then serve then a cold side not really cooked. Nice.
They sort of blanch cook the selection of the dish.
I met up with another peson i had met along the way and decided to get fragged to this shop to have some food. It was motley to catch up with someon i met a few months ago and just so happen to be in Ho Chi Minh city together. So i go along with this idea of a blanched meal.
It was not that good for what it was. The company was better.
I suggest sticking to street food and local restaurants that have locals in them. This shop was mostly for tourists.
Out onto the street again to see what sparks my interest.
And what do I see but around the corner a long row of bikes. Lets try this again. Lets get that low angle shot.
I Like the possibilities here.
How about from here.
How about some sets to back tires
I wander around the bikes and then see another line up cross the way and head over there to get some photos.
I like this one.
How about if you were on one.
I wander away from the bikes and over some streets. I have no map or direction I go with the flow of the streets and city traffic. I think it is best to get accustomed to the flow of the city before I have to make my way across it in a hurry. I must get into the grove of this place.
This beauty of a tree lined street is a nice find.
As I wander a bit more and the night comes closing in, as it does in the city. Where one moment it is sort of bright and then next it is city dark behind building and the commotion of it all blocks out the sun. I find myself a hotel for the night and head out again fro the evening meal.
Another on the street delicious meal. Bring me to the close of this night when I have to go out and meet up with some people. That is for another post.

Thanks for having a look over my shoulder as you make it to the end of the day with me. There was a lot more food then I have ever taken pictures of thus far. Not much a fan of food photos but sometimes it is a nice memory for me...when the tastes is gone and the longing is left I hope the picture will remind me of the good times.
--> More to come if you are fallowing along, in the coming days. A lot more and a country move soon.
--> The pictures were taken around Ho Chi Minh City at various points.
