In the city of Kostroma there is a small river called Black. There is even a small area of the city, which is called Chernorechye.
As a child, I went to this river to get live food for aquarium fish. This is a bloodworm and some other worms, I no longer remember what they are called.
Usually I cross the bridge over this little river and don't even notice it. But in a severe frost at the end of winter, I decided to go down under the bridge to the water.
This river almost never freezes. There is too much warm water in it.
Therefore, when in the cold I found myself under the bridge, I saw steam above the water. I immediately remembered the super melody of the group Deep Purple. Smoke on the water.
It was extraordinarily beautiful and I ran after the camera to take some pictures.
Warm water and cold air. And in the sky there is sun and blue sky. Very nice.
This place is located practically at the confluence of the Chernaya Rechka with the Volga River. When the ice melts and the water rises, there is usually a dock for motor boats at this point.
Now only the dilapidated parts of the pier are visible. In the spring there will be major renovations and the pier should be put in order.
Ducks are sitting on the water of the warm Black River. A lot. The very ducks who preferred to stay for the winter right here. They feel great in a modern city. They eat well in garbage dumps and other urban facilities.
