I remember a trip to Greece in April. Spring and sun, blue skies and hot days. But if it is in the evening, then the temperature drops and it becomes not so hot outside, and I would even say cold.
And the wind can also add troubles. In short, the weather is changeable and very expressive.
After starting the journey from the city of Thessaloniki, we drove to the coast to admire the sea and touch the water. In addition, the guidebooks stated that a good fur coat could be purchased in this small town. Greece is a well-known country in this business.
Katerini is the so-called small coastal town we went to.
But the town itself is located at some distance from the sea, but on the very coast there are small resort villages - satellites of this city. One of them, called Paralia, turned out to be the place of our refuge for one night.
Having found a hotel and settled down, we went for a walk along the sea. The most interesting thing turned out to be closer to the local small port.
In addition to those boats that are on the water in the port, there are several other boats that are on land. They look very majestic against the backdrop of the sunset and distant mountains.
This was one of the most vivid impressions of that place. Masts in the sky.
It is interesting that at the moment when I arrived at this port, it was still sun and day. The sky was blue, though overcast. Clouds sometimes covered the sun and it became cloudy.
But at that moment, when the sun rolled down to the horizon line, the whole world lit up pinkish-orange. It is so beautiful that it cannot be betrayed.
The clouds in the sky have turned purple and pink. Against the background of these clouds, it has become so spectacular to look at the boats standing on the shore. They look like some kind of prehistoric creatures that are about to stand on their long legs and go on a long hike.
I miss this sea, the smell of algae, the salt spray and the sunset in the mountains.
I want to go to Greece again.
