Thoughts on the color of the lamps

There was a beautiful sunset and I went to the banks of the Volga River in the city of Kostroma to photograph this red sunset against the backdrop of bluish snows.

It was very cold.

The cold was such that I wanted to run home faster, but the beauty was also very attractive. A crimson sunset over the right bank of the river, over an old Orthodox church.

At the confluence of two rivers - the Volga and the Kostroma river, there is a place where a high-voltage power transmission line passes. The wires hang from two large poles located on the banks of the Volga River.

These pillars are always visible from the farthest places in the vicinity. The pillars are dark in the photographs. But some time ago, these pillars were decorated with bulbs in the colors of the Russian flag.

On the one hand, it is impressive. On the other hand, now these pillars glow over Kostroma and with their futuristic light make the old city somewhat unauthentic.

Therefore, there are two strange circumstances that affect my perception of such lighting. And most likely, I have a negative attitude to this fact.

Natural things are closer to me. Such as a beautiful sunset. The light of lanterns on the embankment, warm light in the windows of houses. By the way, an interesting fact. Previously, all cities glowed with yellow lights. Today, when incandescent bulbs are changed to LED lights, the light turns white.

Now, in the evenings, it seems to me that it is getting colder due to the fact that the color of the lanterns and windows is getting colder. Of course, only on an emotional level.

But, we are saved by an amazingly beautiful sunset.
