Night Perseids
I haven't posted anything on my blog for a long time.
Business and the transience of life distracted me from this important business. But I promise to catch up and show what interesting things I have seen over the past couple of months, when I did not publish.
The first thing that comes to mind is the hunt for the Perseids. The Perseids are a stream of meteors. Have you ever seen a shooting star? It is such a bright line that it can sparkle in the night sky. This is not actually a star. These are dust particles or bits of matter that made up the comet's tail. They enter the earth's atmosphere at high speed and burn up. We see a trace of this burning.
At the end of August, the earth passes through a belt of such meteors and I really wanted to photograph this natural miracle.
To be honest, my equipment is not enough for normal night photography. I don't have a fast wide-angle lens, but that didn't stop me. Even just standing under the bright night sky is a pleasant feeling.
To get rid of the light pollution of the sky, you need to leave the city for 30-40 kilometers. Then, in complete darkness, the sky begins to glow and the Milky Way is clearly visible.
I mounted the camera on a tripod, got everything ready for shooting and started taking pictures. It is not known when the shooting stars will fly. I just stand and take pictures of the sky over and over again, waiting for the Perseids.
I am lucky and I see that the sky is crossed by bright lines of meteors.
I am elated and do not want to sleep at all. The only inconvenience is mosquitoes. I just get tired of waving my arms to ward off these bloodsucking.
After a while, I change the location. I wish there was something spectacular in the foreground. A country house will do. There is a beautiful pine tree nearby. I light it up with a flashlight.
As I work, I understand that I want to buy myself a lens for astro photography. It should be something with a wide angle and a wide aperture.
After midnight, I returned home filled with the sensation of touching space and swollen from mosquito bites. An amazing feeling.
I am sharing with you the result of night shooting.
