Day trip to visit Proboscis Monkey at Sandakan, Sabah. From KK depart to Sandakan, they have 2 choice to arrive there which is by airplane (journey took 30-45 minutes), by land transportation will be took around 5-6 hours drive way. For me, of course i will took by airplane! Took the most early flight from kk to Sandakan, upon arrival, we have a short take breakfast first. Then only continue journey to Labuk Bay. From town are to Labuk Bay it took around 1 hour journey to arrive there.
Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary
Labuk Bay in Sabah is one of the best places to see wild proboscis monkeys in Borneo.
The 400 acre area was earmarked for a palm oil plantation and deforestation began in the early 1990s to destroy the mangrove swamp and forest to make way for palm oil tree planting.
On the way to meet them.. is a nice natural build up way
The foods that been given is a huge of bananas, peanuts too..
Proboscis Monkey Little Introduction
“The proboscis monkey or long-nosed monkey, 长鼻猴 is a reddish-brown arboreal Old World monkey with an unusually large nose. It is endemic to the southeast Asian island of Borneo." Some of the probosics monkey do have some “red color butt” too
Proboscis Monkey is one of the largest of Asia’s monkeys and an adult male can weigh up to 50lbs / 23kg. They are arboreal, which means they spend most of their time in the trees and only rarely spend time on land when searching for food. The proboscis monkey habitat is the coastal mangroves, forests and swamps of Borneo.

I think that in this world, we might seldom to meet or see this kind of proboscis monkey anymore..
