A few days ago, I went to visit a friend of mine in the Marche region, in Italy. It's a region that is not popular, unfortunately, but it's really beautiful and cheap. It is on the East coast, on the Adriatic sea, in the centre of Italy. People from the Marche are really nice, very welcoming and kind. The hospitality you can get from them is unique! The food is also gorgeous and inexpensive! Here some photos of my trip, I hope you can enjoy it!
The Marche are not just beaches and sea. There are beautiful towns, like Ancona.
Senigallia is a famous spot for the beach, but the town itself is nice too. There is a floating restaurant famous for the mussels: super yummy!
The floating restaurant is a boat of fishermen who fish during the day, mostly mussels and then cook the seafood for customers on their boat at night. They have a fixed menù, really cheap but tasty, and the environment is pretty rustic but very friendly. The captain is super funny!
Another lovely town is Sirolo, that is on top of a hill and has a beach down the rocks that is gorgeous.
This is the end of my thumbnail and my trip to this fabulous region. I really recommend you to visit it as you will not be disappointed! It's a genuine place, not ruined by tourism, with loads of good food and nice people. I will be back there for sure as it not far from my home town, Florence.
