Hello traveler friends welcome to my blog, I hope you are very well enjoying life anywhere in the world, today I want to recall my last trip to the beach in the Caribbean Sea specifically to Cayo Muerto located in Falco state, Venezuela, and participate in the contest of @Travelfeed to celebrate its new stage. I took this trip a few months ago in the company of an aunt.
The beach is my favorite place, because:
In the sea life is tastier, In the sea I love you much more, In the sea the moon and the stars,In the sea everything is happiness 🤣
As these verses of a popular song say, in the sea life is beautiful, I believe that if paradise existed it would look like this place.
Venezuela is a privileged country because it has in all its north coast small islands called keys and great beaches although I live relatively close, a few hours away I have spent years without going to the beach, before this day I had 3 years without stepping on the white sands and bathe in the sea so every time I go I feel lucky and grateful for having the blessing of knowing the sea, there are many countries that have no sea and millions of people who live and die without the experience of bathing in the sea.
That day my aunt and I went to the bus stop to wait for the bus that would take us to the beach, when we arrived at the port we got on a boat for about 10 minutes and arrived at Cayo Muerto (Dead Cay), It was my first time there and its name seemed to me very unique so I asked the locals and they told me that the name comes from the ancient times of slavery because they brought people who inflicted the law or rejected the authority and punished them with the death penalty, then in Cayo Muerto were where they were killed and left their bodies. 😱🥹
In this cay no one can stay to sleep, not because there are ghosts and fantamas, although I do not doubt it 😁😅 but because it is forbidden and the national guard checks at a certain time that no one stays, you can not make bonfires to make a barbecue or soup, but if you can bring your food or buy because there are street vendors and you can get lunch, ice cream, and crafts for souvenirs. That day my aunt and I ate a delicious typical sea food, rice, fried fish and salad, we also had an ice cream for dessert.
The whole beach is clean, because they maintain it very well and the people who visit it already have the culture of preservation, you can bring a hammock and lie down under the trees to enjoy the breeze and listen to the sound of the waves or rent an awning by the sea.
My aunt and I had a great time, the time flew by and I made a promise to return with my whole family, take my parents who are a little older because this beach is special, it has no waves that will roll over you, it is very serene which makes it more attractive for children and seniors.
