Ratargul Swamp Forest.

Welcome everyone to see my new post. Today I will share my tour blog with you and its about my trip to Sylhet and today, I'll talk about our visit to Ratargul Swamp Forest. Hope you'll like it.

Surrounded by green hills, Sylhet district is unique in nature. Apart from the natural beauty, Sylhet has a famous history. Different tribes living in Sylhet have different languages ​​and cultures. Hazrat Shah Paran is one of the spiritual buildings of Sylhet city. Many tourists visit there.

It took us about 1 hour to reach Ratargul. We went on a boat trip at this place. Before telling the story of the boat trip, I want to tell about the place of Ratargul.

Ratargul is a natural swamp forest. This place is located about 26 km away from Sylhet city. Searching on Google, I found that the Ratargul swamp forest is spread over an area of ​​about 30,325 acres. Most of this forest is under water. During monsoons there is a lot of water. A lot of tourists come here during the rainy season as the forests are visible under the water. Kayaking is available at this place.

There the whole forest can be seen by boat. We went there to enjoy the beauty of this forest. Many boats were kept at the river.

This place was a ticket counter. Tickets are required for boat trips there. My husband bought 4 tickets from the counter. This building was being rebuilt over water.

After buying the ticket we boarded this boat. The day was very sunny. I enjoyed a lot on the boat. This boatman was singing a very beautiful song and we joined him. The time was amazing.

It was very nice to see the boats moving in the river, the wind blowing, the blue sky above and the clear water below. The shadow of the blue sky fell on the water and it was a great joy to see this wonderful sight.

Our boat was going towards the forest and at this time my husband took out his drone to fly. My husband tried to take some good drone shots but the boatman scared him off saying he might have to get punished for flying the drone around here without permission though later we understood that it was not true at all.

My husband tried to take down the drone on the moving boat fast and we almost had an accident there for the misinformation of this boatman.

This beautiful butterfly flew towards us who looked injured. I noticed that the butterfly could not fly well and I tried to calm it taking it on my hand. Saw many more butterflies in this place.

Then our boatman uncle took the boat inside the forest. I saw a different kind of beauty inside the forest. There were many kinds of trees. It was nice to see the forest for these trees. Half of these trees were under water.

There was a signboard and on the signboard was a phone number. This board was originally for tourists like us. If someone gets in trouble then this number will help them. This is an important system. I liked this topic.

Slowly our boat started to enter the depths of the forest. I wanted to call this place a water kingdom because there was so much water around. Also direct sunlight cannot come through these trees in many places. During the monsoons the water is much clearer so the reflection of the trees in the water looks like another forest under the forest. Many trees have grown naturally in this forest.

Usually during the rainy season, there is a lot of water inside this forest. At other times of the year there is no water. Then the boat is not needed to go to the forest. We went during the rainy season so there was a lot of water.

The shadows of the forest trees fell on the water. The scenery of green trees and water around the forest was very beautiful. Notice that the water there has turned green in color. This place looks even more beautiful during monsoons and my pictures are proof of that.

At this place a man sat in a boat. I saw that he was trying to catch fish and he had a fish bowl. He caught many fishes. I enjoyed this scene very much.
There were many other boats around. There were many other tourists like us in those boats. Our boat was moving through the forest. We took many pictures there. It was very peaceful at this time.

There was a watch tower and the whole forest could be seen from the tower. I really wanted to see the whole forest from that watch tower. But I could not see it because that tower was closed.

Our boat trip was about 1 hour. Finally we all got off the boat very carefully. This was the story of our boat trip. We all had a great time there. The beauty of nature there fascinated me. This beautiful day has become a memory in my life.

Finally, I like Sylhet's Ratargul place very much. I enjoyed going there a lot. This whole day travel journey was very amazing. It is a pleasure to visit such a beautiful place with family.
