Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!

I am going to stick to the old tradition of featuring golden hour posts here on my blog every Sunday in the new year too so it is my pleasure to come up with my first contribution to the series in 2020 today.

This shot is actually very fresh - I took just yesterday when I was on my way back home from a little hike around the coast here on the Azore island of Sao Miguel. The dark silhouette on the left is that of Pico do Mafra, a 320 m (1050 ft) tall green hill located between the coastal town of Mosteiros and the tiny village of Joao Bom in the northwestern part of the island.

I know the elevation of the hill doesn´t sounds very impressive but climbing up there all the way from almost the sea level requires a pretty decent hike. When you get to the very top of the hill, however, you can enjoy some beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and seascape. But be ready to share the views with some other fellows. As I mentioned in this post earlier this week, the Azore Islands are a true stronghold of cows and Pico do Mafra must be one of their favorite spots here on Sao Miguel. The last time I was on the top of the hill, it was literally covered in their... well... you know what! :D

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone and have a great start to the new week tomorrow!

Also, don´t forget to submit your nominations to my latest upvote giveaway where I reward great but undervalued posts and if you like guessing challenges, stay tuned for the next round of my Monday tipping contest where you can win SBI shares for guessing the price of Steem ;)
