Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!

Built more than a millennium ago, as early as in the 9th century, the Prague Castle is the most famous, visited and photographed tourist attraction of Prague as well as the entire country.

I think it is no exaggeration to say that thousands of photos of this iconic Prague landmark are taken by tourists every single day. However, there are actually very few locations that those scenic photos are taken from. Basically, people photograph the castle from the central brides (with the Charles Bridge being the most popular one) or they click their shots from right bank of the Vltava River (typically from the Smetana Embankment and in the close vicinity of it).

Nevertheless, because of the central and elevated location of the castle, you can take some really cool photos of it from many other places. Let me show you some of them. The following two photos of the Prague Castle were taken from the Great Strahov Garden, a beautiful large garden and orchard that was founded centuries ago in the medieval era.

This photo was taken from the Vlasska Street that connects the Petrin Hill with the urban part of the Lesser Town.

Did you know that, with a total area of almost 70,000 sq m (750,000 sq ft), the Prague Castle is known to be the largest ancient castle in the world? A former seat of ancient kings of Bohemia and even Roman emperors, the castle is now the official seat of the Czech President.
