I showcased a few of these images here before on Steemit but I wanted to add a little context to them and highlight a few more of this building that really inspired me in Denmark. I was staying near this National Aquarium in Copenhagen named The Blue Planet and decided to stroll over and take a look. I’m not really one to visit aquariums when I travel to a new city but I had heard about the interesting architecture of this building and wanted to take some photos of the exterior.
Designed by the 3XN Architectural House, I was intrigued to think of their inspiration being nature itself. They used the image of a whirlpool to inform the shape with the entrance of the building being the vortex of the whirlpool in which you can walk in to. A great idea I thought. This is certainly a modern landmark and although at the time they had construction around the front of the building, which was a little disappointing, I was pleased to capture a couple of good photos that mixed the lines and the shadows of this beautiful architecture. Enjoy.
