An early morning walk to the shores of Lake Michigan to watch the sun rise over the WATER is a great way to start a weekend morning.
Lake Michigan jborders the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana in the US. It has a shoreline that stretches for about 1,640 miles (2,640 kilometers).
Canadian Geese were flying and shouting to each other as this swimmer wades into the water to take advantage of the calm WATER for an early morning swim. .
This squirrel has a long way to go across the sand to get a drink of WATER!
But in the city your time along the lake shore can quickly become crowded as cyclists begin gathering for a ride on Lake Shore Drive.
Bike the Drive is a fundraiser for the Active Transportation Alliance, working to improve conditions for walking, biking, and public transit throughout Chicagoland.
